The Eagles of Manchukuo 1932-1945

Arawasi have announced the publication of their new book The Eagles of Manchukuo, 1932-1945: An Illustrated History of the Civilian and Military Aviation by George Eleftheriou and Kiri Domoto-Eleftheriou. This ground breaking book is the result of more than 10 years of research and includes hundreds of newly discovered photographs, most of high quality, and material never before covered in any publication.

This 224 page book has English text, 341 photos (31 of which are in colour), 73 colour illustrations, 36 monochrome illustrations and retails for $US 45.00 (approx. £27.60) which includes postage and packing. It covers pre-Manchukuo aviation in brief, the Manchukuo Airline, the Manchukuoan Air Force, the Manchukuo Maritime Police Air Unit and Gliding in Manchukuo. The sample pages look both excellent and intriguing, promising a cornucopia of revelations about a fascinating but previously little-known subject and reflect the same high quality of presentation and reproduction achieved by Arawasi magazine. Amongst the repeated cycle of the same questions, the same replies and the same endless arguments about Japanese-related subjects this book announcement is a breath of fresh, invigorating air. Heartiest congatulations to the Arawasi team!
